Academic Integrity Policy

The Academic Integrity Policy was approved in July 2020 to replace the University’s previous Policy on Academic Dishonesty and Misconduct. Given the recent rise in availability of artificial intelligence tools and associated questions around their appropriate use in the academic setting as related to academic integrity, Senate determined that a review of the policy was warranted. The Academic Integrity Committee of Senate reviewed the policy in its entirety, recommending the revisions as outlined in the documents provided below. The draft proposal includes several statements regarding artificial intelligence and incorporates feedback from parties who have engaged in the various processes outlined in the policy over the last four years.

The Academic Integrity Committee of Senate invites your feedback on the proposed revisions.

Feedback will be accepted until Monday, November 4, 2024.
